The bush that supports the rear of the water pump drive shaft had already been tested.  Despite the fact that the passageway seemed free for oil flow, when removed for inspection, it revealed this mess.

Looking fit for purpose once more.  Wear was roughly 0.001 inch above original specification so was deemed close enough for re-installation.

The camwheel fitted.  Re-assembly seems to be starting in earnest.
