Whilst checking the chassis fixings in the engine bay I discovered this potential horror story (marked A). There was a nut missing from the mounting plate for the brake lever.
The paint dribbles are not of my doing by the way!
As can be seen through the hole in the chassis, there is plenty of cleaning left to be done once this project is over.
