R-R PIII - rocker bush oil hole Despite careful cleaning the majority of the small centre holes were not only still blocked but were also invisible.  A strong light, magnifying glass and needle were needed to locate their positions.  There is only one hole drilled in each rebate and it will be located between a pair of main drillings.  As the holes are only 0.0145" diameter I found that the best method of cleaning was with a fine needle point to press out the blockage then a wire bristle to clear the walls.
R-R PIII - tappet adjusting screw

The ball-end of the tappet adjusting screw.  Note the notch modification to promote better lubrication of the ball and socket joint (again, HD329).

The nipple worn on the end of the ball needs removing; all of these have been carefully ground off.
