Viewed from above. The forward end is at the top of the picture. To either side of the cutout in the front wall is a small casting: this incorporates a threaded hole to which the side trays are bolted. The outer edges should be strengthened by steel 'U' section strips. These went missing sometime in the dim and distant past. The aluminium is protected, when the trays are attached, by using large diameter washers to spread the load. |

What would normally be the view from beneath the car. The two tubes protruding from the front wall are for the front brake ropes. There should be a laced leather gaiter attached to each one. |
