With the bonnet removed one can see the size of the task ahead. The brass tube, visible below the exhaust manifold, is the snake horn which has been unlcipped from its mounting on the wheel spanner bracket. The snake horn was specified on the original build sheet even though the car was built in 1937.
The first job was to remove the air filter and carburettor to avoid damage.
