Don't get thinking that this work is undertaken in an immaculate workshop. This is the coach house where the Morgan usually resides. The leaves on the floor show that it is autumn (fall) and that there is a big gap under the doors.
The reground crankshaft with recast big end shells. All machined to original tolerances. The whole assembly now has to be stripped, cleaned and re-assembled in the crankcase.
The crankcase with recast main bearings that have been line bored to match the reground crankshaft. Everything must be stripped and cleaned before the rebuild begins.
Note the machinist's comment on the crankcase flange, "Mains - 29 lbs/ft".
